Blown Away

The view from a neighbor's
We had a wind storm of major proportions here today, I'm talking 100 mph winds, which is a Category 2 hurricane. Not a major hurricane, but for these parts major news. The winds lasted for more than 10 hours, it was crazy.  Semis were cut off from the freeway, but not before at least 10 semis turned over on the freeway.  It was insane to drive in 90+ mph winds, I'd be happy to never do it again.

The kids schools closed today because they had no power they were happy to hear they'll be closed again Friday.  The police asked everyone to stay home unless travel was vitally important.  Unfortunately my company felt it was vitally important! Luckily Jeff was able to work from home.  We are so blessed!  Very little damage happened to our home and land, another blessing.

Take a look at this video if you want to see more pictures, about 4 minutes into it  and again about 10 minutes into it, they cover our area, with footage of the way the freeway looked as I drove to work.  Today we are thankful for our safety, our power working, and safe drives!

I can't believe that's your neighborhood. Weird. Wish you were home today with your monkeys making something tasty.
