Incredible Flowers

I've just discovered a new favorite flower.  I love flowers, they inspire and amaze me, all while bringing me a constant reminder of the beauties all around me in this amazing world.  I've loved watching the surprises spring up all around me in our new home this spring.

Please excuse my finger in the next two shots, guess I was so overcome with the beauty I didin't notice I was covering the lens! That or the amazing sunshine after such an incredibly rainy spring left my mind befuddled.  Oh, nevermind! I just noticed Blogger added Picnic photo editing-how cool is that?!? I just cropped my finger right out!

I think they are Peonies.  Tell me if you know differently, because I love them.  I want more of them.  Do they bloom all summer or just once?  I think I need to learn more, because theses flowers are INCREDIBLE!

Peonies are certainly beautiful. It's a shame they only bloom once, but they do make a lovely bush for the rest of the summer.

The fragrance of peonies is like no other! I live in Tucson and it is way too hot for them here, but they are still one of my favorite flowers!!!

Peonies. Only bloom in June, and they remind me of home so much. Lucky you!

I used to have a whole slew of Peonies, but then we built a garage over them. I miss their beautiful blooms, but not the ants who loved to hang out in them.

Although peonies bloom only once a year, they are dependable and will bloom EVERY year, at least in my gardens. :)

Peonies remind me of my house in Utah---I think I had your same reaction the first time they bloomed! So beautiful and huge! Thanks for sharing-- especially for those of us here starting to wither in the hot, hot sun. Now it's your turn to rub in your awesome weather ;) --J

Peonies are such lovely flowers - I understand they were President Ronald Reagan's favorite.

These are peonies! They are so glorious and definitely one of my own favorite flowers.

They dry beautifully, too, if you like the look of dried flowers.

Thank you for this beautiful link!

I love how you are finding lovely surprises all around the property!
