And They DO?
I have been drawn into watching "So You Think You Can Dance" on FOX this summer. It amazes me. I don't actually think I can dance, but I am sure they can. As I was watching tonight thinking about the amazing feats these dancers perform I realized two of the couples were costumed in ORANGE-perfect for a post for Miss Jenny's Rainbow Summer School!
These dancers are doing an Afro-Jazz routine and it amazed me, I love the drums and the energy of the music I love the way the human body can move, and nothing showcases that quite like dance. It looks so effortless, yet when they are done and doing the review you can see how hard they are breathing.
Next is a Disco routine, and it was fun to watch, even if I don't Disco myself. I loved this lift, he spun around and around at least 4 times with her on his shoulders like this. They showed a clip of rehearsals, and he dropped her quite a bit, I'm impressed she trusted him enough to keep trying.
Next week is the finale, and I'm sad to see it end. It's been amazing to watch these young, athletic, talented dancers stretch themselves and learn new styles and dances every week. Our bodies are amazing, intricate miracles. It was good to be reminded how amazing they can be.

I never saw that show...."Dancing With the Stars" was my one dancing show. The video is terrific, though!!! I hope I won't get tempted into wtching. I can hardly get my blog and comments done as it is.

I have been watching this show too. I loved all of the numbers last night. It will be fun to see who wins.
I think we're several seasons behind what is being shown in the US...but I agree! That show is amazing and soooo addictive, isn't it?

Yes I do wish I could dance...but I can't. I like to goof around and dance in my living room. My kids think it is hularious!
